NATIONAL: The National Events Council is hosting a diversity-focused webinar on Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. in honor of Global Diversity Awareness Month. Conversation topics will include the effects COVID-19 has had on diversity, plus women in the workplace, strategies to address diversity challenges, and more. A Q&A session will be held immediately following.

Bacardi Rum kicked off its first-ever virtual Tiki Rumba on Oct. 15. The event will run through November; hosts Tiki & Slow Jams are inviting DJs from around the country to play tropical music and mix signature cocktails. Available for a limited time on Sourced Craft Cocktails, attendees can purchase an at-home Cuatro Mai Tai kit that yields up to 12 cocktails for use during virtual sessions.

CHICAGO: The Union League Boys and Girls Club is holding its 43rd annual gala, 
Inspirational Heroes, virtually on Nov. 7. The charity gala benefits Chicago youth served by the nonprofit’s programming, which carried on despite closings due to COVID-19. The virtual celebration will offer a three-course meal prepared by chef Michael Ponzio of the Union League Club of Chicago, plus drinks, a silent auction, and more.

LOS ANGELES: Experiential design company Blueprint Studios has launched new virtual event services geared toward Hollywood and the entertainment industry. The offerings include new ways to engage attendees through interactive exhibits, livestream integration, peer-to-peer networking rooms, and 3D virtual spaces, all paired with full-service event design and planning. Last month, Blueprint Studios partnered with The Television Academy to help reimagine its 2020 Emmys nominee receptions virtually.

LOUISVILLE, KY: The Galt House Hotel is launching a “Bourbon Chef Series” on Oct. 21 at the property's newly opened restaurant, Swizzle Dinner & Drinks. The rotating series will showcase top regional chefs, who will collaborate with The Galt House’s culinary team to create a unique, bourbon-inspired dish that will be featured on the menu for a limited time. Travelers can book the Ultimate Galt House Bourbon Package, which includes overnight accommodations and VIP access.
