Consumers are increasingly concerned about the impact of our food system on the environment. In fact, more than half are now aware of concepts like soil health, crop rotation and no tillage. They now see regenerative agriculture as an important way to address the food system’s environmental impacts.
But for brands, sourcing regeneratively produced ingredients is not easy — primarily because it is difficult and expensive for farmers to initiate these practices.
In response, Cargill has developed a new program to boost the use of regenerative practices by helping farmers become more resilient. Additionally, the program helps brands using those farmers’ ingredients to meet their Scope 3 emission goals.
