An easy way to enhance revenue integrity

One of the best ways to enhance revenue integrity is to identify and address causes of denials. The most common denial reasons include:

  • Incorrect or incomplete patient identifier information

  • Services requiring prior authorization or precertification

  • Requests for medical records not fulfilled in a timely manner

  • Missing or invalid CPT®/HCPCS codes, or incorrect use of modifiers

  • Lack of medical necessity

Many of these denials can be prevented through ensuring the accuracy of data in the patient care process.

Find out how in The Revenue Integrity Manager’s Guidebook, which includes strategies and best practices for reducing denials, improving patient data, and instituting more effective recordkeeping across your facility.
