| This is your 6-month check-in to evaluate where your agency stands in its compliance with the new CoP requirements that took effect in January. Surveys have started, and home health agencies are being cited with condition-level deficiencies related to the new CoPs. Consider the specific deficiency cited below (shared by a home health consultant who’s had six agency clients go through a survey this year). Emergency Preparedness (E-0037) Upon personnel record review, 11 out of 11 records did not show evidence of emergency preparedness training. The xx/xx/17 staff meeting minutes stated "Handouts given on step by step for completion of emergency preparedness profile as far as contact person". The meeting attendance was 24 out of 74 listed staff, contract, and office personnel. No other training documentation was observed.
