Executions: Late last week, a judge ruled in favor of attorneys for death row inmates who want to revive a long-dormant federal lawsuit over the ways Louisiana kills its condemned, an attempt to fend off the state's first execution since 2010. Now, a federal appeals court in New Orleans has halted reopening of that legal challenge. John Simerman explains.
Kern Studios: Kern Studios builds nearly 1,000 Carnival-style floats each year for more than a dozen local krewes and a growing number of out-of-state parades and projects. But they need more space. Stephanie Riegel has this look at the company's plan to expand.
