The Legislative session drew to a close Saturday, with Republicans and Democrats notching victories and defeats. Tyler Bridges and James Finn were there, and a rundown of what was passed, and what is likely to be vetoed. Aquarium hit by gunfire overnight: The Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium just reopened this weekend after an eight-month, $41 million overhaul that consolidated some exhibits at the existing riverfront complex. But just after midnight Saturday, the building was struck by gunfire. Audubon officials say the investigation and clean up delayed the day's opening by a half an hour, and no animals were injured. Gabby Killett has the story. The writer's strike hits New Orleans: New Orleans booming film business scored a win recently when the tax breaks that fuel it survived the legislative session.
