Les Miles v. LSU, et al

It's not every day that a former coach sues his former school, especially for what he thinks was a decision that cost him a place in a prestigious hall of fame.

But that was the case Monday, as reports emerged that former LSU coach Les Miles is suing the school for its decision to forfeit 37 victories that dropped him beneath a minimum threshold to make the College Football Hall of Fame.

The key metric? A coach must have a career winning percentage of at least 60%. The forfeited games at LSU, games the Tigers won with Vadal Alexander playing (he received improper benefits from a booster) dropped Miles below that mark.

It seems a strange thing to sue over. Personally I don't give Miles much of a chance, but we'll see how this all plays out.

There is still lots of baseball news to report, as the transfer portal remains thick with new and now former Tigers.

Monday, a big-time LSU recruit, Derek Curiel, announced that he is taking his name out of the major legaue draft and that he plans to play for the Tigers in 2025. Meanwhile, LSU catcher Brady Neal has surprised by entering the transfer portal, suddenly leaving the Tigers light on catchers.

Meanwhile, former LSU basball great Dylan Crews just got a call up to Triple-A Rochester (New York). Seems only a matter of time before he makes it to the big show with the parent club, the Washington Nationals.

Finally, we have Angel Reese's reaction to the flagrant foul she got Sunday whill putting a big hit on Iowa's Caitlin Clark.

Oh what a delicious rivalry this has the potential to be in the years to come.

That's all folks. Thanks for reading and subscribing. I'll be back to do this again Thursday morning.
