Lessons from Grand Rapids: What now for Acadiana leaders?

Happy Monday morning on a morning that really does not feel like fall. But let's get to the headlines. 

Now that the 70-plus member group has returned from Grand Rapids, Michigan, the question now is this: What now? Lots of ideas, but how do they get implemented?

An easy takeaway could be what the Michigan city's technology companies did and later the city provided the support for: a tech council that has helped spawn an accelerated job growth that's being noticed around the country.

“The fact that we are not convening across our community on that issue to support the tech sector is one of the first thing we need to fix,” said Will LaBar, vice president of consulting services with CGI.
