I have invested some time studying Black Swan events through history. A Black Swan is a life-changing event on a huge scale that impacts millions of people. Think volcano eruptions, wars, pandemics, tsunamis, and financial crises. We can also have a personal Black Swan in our life like an illness, accident, or a devastating disappointment like a failed relationship or business.

Here is the essence of what I learned:

As hard as it is, the good news is that we all still have the choice of embracing the now and creating the future we want for ourselves.
