It was shortly after dawn when I took this clip of his hotel I hope he looked out from on high and saw our capital city's wonderful, bowl setting, surrounded by hills and the lough. Mr Biden arrived to Arlene Foster saying he hates the UK and this letter writer saw a snub in his flag flying about which we asked the White House I do not in fact think President Biden is one of those hardcore Brit haters and we led the paper on Thursday with his glowing tribute to the Ulster Scots This morning Dr Graham Gudgin challenges President Biden's claims about the NI economy having doubled since 1998 Our 25th anniversary essays this week were from the News Letter owner David Montgomery on the rise of the Northern Irish, the victims' campaigner Kenny Donaldson on NI going into a 'moral abyss', and this morning from the academic Prof Henry Patterson on Trimble's unionist opponents We also had memories of what happened in 1998 of Lord (Paul) Bew and Lord (John) Alderdice In other news while some Troubles stories will never be told I think the story of Freddie Scappaticci's life one day will be Meanwhile, it suddenly looks as if the GAA might get £100+ million to finish their stadium Finally, Larne's first ever time in more than 100 years topping our local football league reminded me of Leicester a few years ago doing the same in the English one after a similarly long spell --
