reader Elbows are out as candidates in the May 2 election push to win over the final few undecided voters. Both Preston and Chorley are heading to the polls and our coverage led by local democracy reporter Paul Faulkner is not to be missed. If you are still undecided check out the hustings we held in both Preston and Chorley. Voters will need to decide the key issues that matter to them before aligning themselves with a candidate. In Chorley, Labour’s Alistair Bradley made the pitch to wrestle responsibility for highways away from Lancashire County Council claiming "We'd do it better". Councillors in the Chorley borough have signed up to new guidance on how they use social media, with elected members encouraged not to engage in “personal attacks” or post comments “in haste”. And in Preston, one candidate was so incensed about what was happening in Ashton Park it pushed her to stand for election. But whichever way you vote on Thursday, join the Lancashire Post live for all the latest news. To join the debate don't forget you can now comment on our website.
