My daughter is a student at Michigan State University. Thank God, she is safe. But I will be honest – I'm in no frame of mind to write a column this week as though what transpired did not.
My heart is heavy for the students and families who are traumatized by this senseless violence, and everyone at MLive aches for those suffering. This is a time to come together to support, heal and search our hearts for answers that lead to action.
I'll be back next week. But not back to normal.
