Lewis and Craig disagree on major issues during final debate
Republican Congressman Jason Lewis and his DFL challenger Angie Craig met for their final debate of the 2018 campaign Thursday at Dakota County Technical College. The two candidates agreed the nation needs to embrace post-secondary technical training along with traditional four-year college as equal career options. That's where their meeting of the minds ended.

Packages to Biden, De Niro seized, similar to earlier bombs

The mail-bomb scare widened Thursday as law enforcement officials seized three more suspicious packages — two addressed to former Vice President Joe Biden and one to actor Robert De Niro — and said they were similar to crude pipe bombs sent to former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and CNN.

Twins hire ex-Rays player, coach Rocco Baldelli as manager
The Minnesota Twins hired Rays assistant coach Rocco Baldelli as their new manager Thursday, seeking a young voice to help revive a struggling team. The 37-year-old Baldelli replaces Paul Molitor, who was fired after four seasons with a 305-343 record . Baldelli will be the youngest manager in the major leagues, the first skipper ever born in the 1980s.
