Lexington Medical Center opens new urgent care center

Lexington Medical Center Saluda Pointe is now open near the intersection of Interstate 20 and U.S. Highway 378. The center, open seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., is the first in the hospital's network to feature state-of-the-art 3T MRI technology.

Lexington Garden Apartments sells for $1.6 million

The 41-unit property at 609 S. Lake Drive is a mix of studio and one- and two-bedroom units. In other transactions, Teleperformance USA leased 29,000 square feet of call center space at Broad River Commons to expand operations.

Tru by Hilton opens on Stonebridge Drive

Parks Hospitality Group of Raleigh owns and operates Tru by Hilton Columbia Greystone on Stonebridge Drive. Ground was broken on the 117-room property off Interstate 126 last January. Another Tru by Hilton is located on Columbiana Drive.

State agency asks to intervene in proposed rate increase

Palmetto Utilities Inc., which serves customers in Richland and Kershaw counties, is requesting approval from the S.C. Public Service Commission for a sewer rate increase of nearly 28%.

Summer meal program seeking sponsors

The S.C. Department of Education will hold a meeting for interested organizations on Feb. 6 at the S.C. State Farmers Market. The summer meal program provides healthy meals to children when school is not in session.
