Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has said no further coronavirus-related stimulus measures will gain congressional approval without liability protections for employers. Meanwhile, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the government must set specific standards to protect workers as businesses reopen, although such guidance from the CDC has been shelved.

A Willis Towers Watson survey of 816 companies found 65% have allowed employees increased access to 401(k) retirement plan distributions as allowed by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act. The survey found 64% have allowed deferred loan repayments and almost half have increased maximum loan amounts.
Many members of the class of 2020 find themselves pivoting as they leave school and enter a rocky job market that includes significantly changed prospects for the careers they have been working toward. Some are struggling to find a job -- any job -- while others have created positions for themselves using the skills they learned in school.
The job of leaders today is to help rather than "direct and monitor employees," says Kumar Abhishek, a regional HR executive at S&P Global. "The role of the manager then becomes that of a mentor, to stretch, grow, guide them, and to remove 'blocks' impeding their progress in the organization," he says.
