Online Exhibit Offers a View of Early Entertainment History On display for the first time on the Los Angeles Public Libraryâs website, the online exhibit âLife on a String: The Yale Puppeteersâ provides a digital sneak peek at the history of a performing trio of entertainers â Harry Burnett, Forman Brown and Richard âRoddyâ Brandon â collectively known as the Yale Puppeteers, who were professionally and personally intertwined for nearly six decades. The Los Angeles Public Library has maintained the Yale Puppeteers collection for more than three decades preserving marionettes, photographs, and a wide array of ephemera including programs, posters, scrapbooks and props.
