Good afternoon,

Welcome to your twice-weekly look at how generative AI is transforming the way we live, work and play plus the latest news and analysis.

Life360 has pocketed about $US20m ($30.29m) from the extension of a partnership with an Israeli AI firm that leverages its data to sell insights to property developers, town planners and retail stores.

The new chatbot Meta has installed on Instagram and WhatsApp accounts is failing to make simple mathematical calculations, with the AI generator struggling with times tables and often reading decimals incorrectly.

NBN Co is gearing up for the AI era, banking on the fact that the relatively new technology will significantly increase demand for its fibre network.
