Employees should prepare for an end to the flexibilities in health insurance coverage that were enacted during the COVID-19 public health emergency before the period concludes, researchers reported in a study published in the journal Health Affairs, noting that employer-sponsored insurance enrollment has stayed largely flat as unemployment rates have decreased in recent months. Study authors wrote that policymakers and companies should be prepared to help people who are losing Medicaid eligibility find alternate coverage, whether it is from the marketplace or an employer.

PwC research found 49% of people want to look for jobs and 46% want to interact with colleagues using the metaverse. Companies should prepare for the metaverse by hiring people with metaverse-related skills, training existing employees and improving cybersecurity while adopting new technologies, says Angela Lester, PwC's design and innovation leader.
