Lighting Controls Association Updates Daylight Harvesting Course The Lighting Controls Association (LCA) has updated EE201: Daylight-Responsive Lighting Control, a popular course in its free, 24/7 Education Express program. Authored by Craig DiLouie with significant input from the National Electrical Manufacturers Associationâs (NEMA) Daylight Management Council and the LCA membership, the course describes a simple process for design and application of devices and systems used to enact daylight harvesting as an energy-code compliant strategy. The new and improved course simplifies and condenses the material while updating it to recognize current code requirements and technology. Lighting Controls Association Updates Dimming Course The Lighting Controls Association has updated EE103: Dimming Controls, Section 1 Part 2: Dimming Controls and Systems, a popular learning module in its free, 24/7 Education Express program. Authored by Steve Mesh and Craig DiLouie, this learning module describes equipment used for dimming in commercial buildings, starting with simple wallbox dimmers and working up to more complex systems. The new and improved course recognizes major changes in dimming systems resulting from technological advances including the widespread adoption of LED lighting. |
