LCA Recognized as California Education Provider

In 2019, the State of California recognized the Lighting Controls Association as an authorized continuing education provider with Irvine Valley College, Electrician Trainee Program #125.

Individuals performing work as an electrician under a C-10 licensed contractor in the State of California must be certified, with certification maintenance requiring continuing education by a provider recognized by the State of California. The State has recognized the Lighting Controls Association as an authorized continuing education provider with Irvine Valley College, Electrician Trainee Program #125.

Education Express learning hours are therefore recognized as eligible for continuing education requirements.

LCA Offers Certificate of Technical Knowledge

Completion of all Education Express courses offered by the Lighting Controls Association qualifies students to earn a Certificate of Technical Knowledge in Lighting Controls.

A growing number of students requested that a single certificate–an Education Express diploma–be issued recognizing successful completion of all courses. In response to this popular request, the LCA created a Certificate of Technical Knowledge in Lighting Controls, which indicates that the student has a basic knowledge of lighting controls expressed in the broad range of Education Express courses. A special page is available to students so they can measure their progress.

LCA Courses Are Now Downloadable

All courses in the Education Express online continuing education system are downloadable as PDFs.

While courses are available 24/7 on the LCA website, a growing number of users requested the ability to download them as PDF documents. In response to this popular request, LCA created this capability and is pleased to offer it as a value enhancement to its education offering.
