Join us for a webinar with three comic creators in a discussion about graphic novels, women, and race. Although comics have a history of being a “boy’s club”, these three women are exploding onto the scene with stories that resonate, aren’t stereotypical of women or other marginalized communities, and are fun to read!
In addition to speaking about their own work, the authors will discuss being women of culturally diverse backgrounds in a historically male dominated industry, explore ways that libraries can promote books by women of color, and suggest a few favorite comics by other women that everyone should read.
