American Airlines pilot union calls company culture "toxic"

The Allied Pilots Association board of directors wrote a letter last week criticizing American Airlines for its treatment of union workers and citing a "toxic" culture at the airline since its 2013 merger with US Airways. American spokesman Casey Norton said the company is "well aware" of the problem and is focused on improving middle management as part of a five-year plan.
