UP FIRST Sony has just made all other wireless gaming earbuds obsolete Sony has caused a stir with its new InZone Buds for gamers Offering a very decent 12 hours of continuous use and delivering audio at impressively low latency, Sony's new InZone Buds look set to be popular with gamers hunting for a decent pair of wireless earbuds. Sony’s new earbuds support both Bluetooth and a 2.4GHz connection through an included USB-C dongle. With Sony’s established expertise in the audio field, it’s no surprise that the buds offer excellent sound quality, though some may wish for a little more bass. For $200, you know you’re getting Sony’s best technology. Indeed, the InZone Buds include the Dynamic Driver X – the same driver found in the company’s flagship WF-1000XM5 buds. Importantly, they’re comfortable to wear over long periods thanks to a special design that spreads the weight. For more on the new InZone Buds, check out Digital Trends’ in-depth review ...

RIGHT TO REPAIR California's right-to-repair bill signed into law But some devices, such as video game consoles, are not covered California has followed in the footsteps of New York and Minnesota and signed into law its own right-to-repair bill. Designed to offer people greater flexibility for repairing their own tech devices, the bill received the all-important signature on Tuesday from California Governor Gavin Newsom. Devices costing $50 or more and that were sold in the state after July 1, 2021, will be covered by the legislation when it goes into effect on July 1, 2024, Engadget reported. Makers of devices costing between $50 and $99 will have to stock replacement parts and tools and retain documentation for three years. Anything worth more than $100 is covered for seven years. Companies breaking the law face fines of between $1,000 and $5,000 per day per violation. State Senator Susan Talamantes Eggman, who co-sponsored the bill, said: “This is a common sense bill that will help small repair shops, give choice to consumers, and protect the environment” ...

But are keyless smart locks as safe as normal smart locks? And how do keyless smart locks compare to traditional smart locks? The lack of a keyhole can be quite shocking when first encountering keyless smart locks, but the omission comes with a few benefits ...
