Live eels and a full ramen aisle

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana business editor

The building that housed Old Navy for years is now back in commerce. In it you'll find items not readily available in conventional grocery stores — like live eels, seaweed wrappers, prawn crackers and more.

The Asian Market is now open in its new home.

You can read the story from Joanna Brown here.

It's also a noteworthy move as it might be the most signficant retail expansion in the area around the Acadiana Mall in a few years. The owners bought the entire lot between Tucker Drive and Dillard Drive but have no plans for it yet.

Properties around the mall, as you can imagine, have been listed for sale for several months.

Have a great day and thanks for reading.
