'Not fair': NASA’s internal watchdog issued a blistering report on the Michoud Assembly Facility, citing dozens of quality problems that it attributed to “a lack of trained, experienced aerospace workers," its location in New Orleans and low employee compensation. Now, as Stephanie Riegel reports, Louisiana officials are pushing back.
Jefferson Parish crime: Crime in unincorporated Jefferson Parish has continued to drop in 2024, following a near-record low in 2023, with double-digit dips in the number of homicides, assaults and burglaries. Michelle Hunter talked with Sheriff Joseph Lopinto about this year's crime rates and his efforts to keep them low, which could eventually include first responder drones.
Decadance: September will start spectacularly with the 52nd Southern Decadence parade in the French Quarter. As always, there will be rainbows, glitter, bubbles and sizzling summer heat. Doug MacCash has the lowdown on what else to expect at this year's event.
