LOCKDOWN GUIDANCE The Scottish Government has required all of mainland Scotland to move into lockdown and has issued a new legal requirement forbidding anyone from leaving their home except for essential purposes. The Government has published details of the limited excuses to leave your home which includes, provisions for caring, outdoor exercise and to go to work, but only if that work cannot be done from home. |

LOCKDOWN SUPPORT The Scottish Government has made grant support available for businesses that are required to close by law every four weeks for as long as the restrictions last. You can apply for a: temporary closure grant - £2,000 or £3,000 (depending on rateable value) if your business is required to close by law business restrictions grant - £1,400 or £2,100 (depending on rateable value) if your business can remain open but is specifically required to modify its operations by law, for example having to close earlier than normal.This does not include where a demand for your products or services has been reduced because of the pandemic If you have received grant support in Tier 3, your application will automatically move to Tier 4 support packages - no action is required. If you applied for grant support in Tier 3 and were rejected, your original application will be reviewed for Tier 4 support - no action is required. Only businesses which have NOT previously submitted an application for Tier 3 support, should submit an application under the new funding. |

Additional Funds for Grassroots and Independent Venues An additional £7.1 million to secure the future of as many grassroots music venues and independent museums as possible has been announced by the Scottish Government. The next phase of the Grassroots Music Venue Stabilisation Fund will provide £4 million to live music venues that were financially sustainable before coronavirus (COVID-19) to prevent permanent closure and stabilise until April 2021.
