Show local businesses some love in the time of coronavirus

In order to slow the spread of coronavirus, avoid overwhelming the NHS, and protect the most vulnerable members of society, we must all make some big lifestyle changes. For many independent businesses this means closing their doors for the foreseeable future, putting them under immense financial strain.

That's why one Spanish couple set up Help Your Hood. This handy new website maps indenpendent businesses around the world that offer gift cards — so you can get yourself (or someone you love) a treat to look forward to while giving your favourite local restaurant, cafe, or boutique a much-needed revenue boost.

Help Your Hood is already spotlighting a fair few London businesses, including Mother Kelly's Bottle Shop in Stoke Newington, and florist Edie Rose (pictured). Click below to find out how you can get involved.
