Barco continues to lead global conversion to laser cinema projection

Barco is fueling the switch from lamp-based cinema projectors to laser-illuminated cinema projectors around the world:

Over 40 top exhibitors have already selected Barco’s flagship laser projectors, good for more than 125 installations worldwide.
With over 15 all-laser complexes committed, leading exhibitors are switching to Barco’s full range of flagship laser and laser phosphor solutions.

Reel Cinemas, The Dubai Mall: the world’s largest all-flagship laser cinema

At CineEurope we announced a world première: the Reel Cinemas multiplex at The Dubai Mall will be the world's largest multiplex powered exclusively by Barco flagship laser projectors. Reel Cinemas will fit each of its 22 theaters with our flagship laser projectors to provide exceptional moviegoing experiences!

Kinepolis Breda and GRINN FILM Kursk first all-laser cinemas in Europe

The ‘all-Barco laser’ concept is spreading across Europe! This summer, Kinepolis Group will open a multiplex in Breda, the Netherlands, featuring one Barco flagship laser and nine Barco phosphor laser projectors. In Kursk, Russia, the new GRINN FILM multiplex will be fitted with two Barco flagship laser and seven laser phosphor projectors. All nine GRINN FILM screens will also feature AuroMax® immersive sound.

600 screens powered by Auro 11.1 immersive sound

The Auro 11.1 immersive sound technology reached a couple of important milestones:

600 screens installed or committed worldwide
Over 150 films mixed or released in Auro 11.1. New titles include ‘Warcraft’, ‘Secret Life of Pets’, ‘The Legend of Tarzan’, ‘Trolls’, ‘Ghostbusters’, and ‘Inferno’.
