Longtime Acadiana store known for its Sauce Packs has closed

By ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

Good morning, loyal Acadiana Business newsletter followers. On to some quick headlines:

We gonna take a trip down east with ya. Down to Eunice, Louisiana. Yeah, Coutee's.

That's a line from zydeco singer Rusty Metoyer in his song of "Going to Coutee." It plays on the phone of Paige Coutee, daughter of the store's late owner, Joshep "Joe" Coutee, inside the blue-green building at 610 S. Martin L. King Drive in Eunice.

The song will live on, but the store will not. The store, known for its Sauce Packs, has closed following Joe Coutee's death last month.

You can read the full story here.

Have a great day and thanks for reading.
