| | | Hi Achternaam, I hope you’re having a good week! As many of you know, my husband and I moved from Colorado to Tennessee a few years back. We’ve been living in a trailer since, while we work on building our house. This means that I have been without a normal-sized kitchen for quite a while now, and while I’ve been doing small projects (and processing food in my outdoor canning setup), I haven’t been able to do many large canning projects indoors. As we start another canning season, however, I’m excited that we’re getting SO MUCH CLOSER to moving into our new home! My husband has done 99% of the work himself. A one man construction crew! Plus half a helper (me!). Trust me, I’m much better in the garden and kitchen than in construction. The kitchen is making good progress. The end of May, we finished painting. It’s still just an empty room right now, but we found some cabinets off Marketplace that we’ll be installing after we finish the next project, the cement floor. When this is all done, I’ll have an amazing view and lots of natural light so I can take pictures and share what I’m doing with you more frequently again. 😄 Here’s a sneak peek of what it looks like: |
