Looking ahead in football recruiting

Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends.

By "show" we mean football recruiting.

LSU is deep into building its Class for the 2024-25 recruiting cycle and is off to a flying start. According to On3.com's composite rankings, the Tigers are ranked No. 2 overall behind Ohio State.

But recruiting is always about the next. The next prospect. The next class. Our man Spencer Urquhart tells us about the top five prospects for 2026 in the New Orleans area who are already being targeted by Brian Kelly and his coaching staff.

Men's basketball has snagged one more transfer in Dji Bailey from the University of Richmond. Meanwhile, our Reed Darcey reviews who the LSU women's basketball team got in the transfer portal and why Kim Mulkey and her staff pursued these prospects.

Softball is in the closing days of the regular season. William Weathers is here with a feature on promising LSU freshman third baseman Madyson Manning and the big sacrifice she made earlier this season for the team.

Finally, college golf has entered the postseason, meaning it's time for awards and seedings. See what award women's golfer Ingrid Lindblad has claimed for what is believed to be a record third time, and who the LSU men have coming to Baton Rouge in two weeks for an NCAA regional at the University Club.

That's all, folks. See you next time,

Scott Rabalais
