Now that holiday shopping is well underway, I've been thinking a lot about the kinds of gifts I love to both give and receive, keeping in mind that this can be a really fraught time of year for many people. Approaching every aspect of the holiday season (including the gifting part) with empathy and thoughtfulness can make people feel cared for, nurtured and understood. The best course of action for the season is to lead with kindness. You never know when someone is experiencing health challenges, difficult family dynamics or going through a breakup. And be sure to extend some of that grace to yourself and indulge in plenty of self care (and maybe a gift-to-self or two) during this hectic season! We've got lots of ideas for all of the above.
