Dear Valued Reader, As the industry begins another year of its constant evolution, I wanted to reach out to you and thank you on behalf of WWDâs entire global team for your ongoing trust and readership. We recognize how privileged we are to be your go-to source for the most accurate and extensive reporting and analysis on the developments in the fashion, beauty and retail worlds, as well as those sectors increasingly of interest to industry executives, from sustainability to the metaverse, real estate to technology. In 2023, we promise to bring you even more insightful and informative coverage â both the breaking news and exclusives for which you rely upon us as well as broader analysis and features from around the world. As part of this mission, WWD continues to expand its worldwide staff and the ways in which we deliver our content. In 2022 we added a wellness reporter to cover that burgeoning sector, from ingestibles to treatments and more. We expanded our social media team to deepen our coverage on those all-important platforms of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter and others. And we added two trending news reporters to expand our reporting on pop culture and related areas in real time. This year we also will deepen our coverage of a growing area for fashion â home â with the addition of reporters in Milan and New York who will cover that sector from a business as well as design perspective. This will involve not only coverage of the fashion brands increasingly moving into that category as they build out their lifestyle strategies, but also the pure home product companies that are now their competitors. Last year we launched WWD Weekend, a consumer-facing publication that comes out six times a year and represents what fashion is also all about: fun. An expansion of WWDâs iconic Eye page, WWD Weekend expands our coverage of the arts, culture, travel, food and restaurants, architecture and product design â not to mention fashion, beauty, jewelry and accessories â all through the lenses of our talented reporters who know the latest âinâ restaurant, hotel, spa or book almost before anyone else. WWD Weekend will again be published six times in 2023 both digitally and in print around key moments: Milan and Paris fashion weeks; Salone del Mobile in Milan in April; Memorial and Labor Day in the Hamptons and New York, and Miami Art Basel in November. We are sure you will find it as informative as WWD each day. All of this is part of our goal to provide you with the important, up-to-the-second information you need to run your business, as well as entertaining content you need to live your lives. We hope you agree, and will support our journalism by subscribing to WWD. Thank you for being such loyal readers, and we look forward to sharing even more with you this year.
