Take it from the guy who has been in crawfish business for almost 50 years: 2024 might not be the year of the crawfish. Anthony Arceneaux, owner of the popular seasonal Hawk’s Crawfish restaurant in rural Acadia Parish, says he will be forced to open later than normal because there’s just not enough crawfish right now after the severe drought and record heat in 2023.
