| If there was ever a time to support art in LA, this is it. Matt Stromberg’s list of 11 shows to see in the city right now is a great start. Galleries Last Projects, Craig Krull, and Anat Ebgi are each hosting exhibitions to raise funds for recovery, but all of Matt’s picks are well worth seeing. Sadly, the Spring Break Art Show has cancelled its LA edition, but there’s still plenty to see. Staff Reporter Rhea Nayyar introduces us to the 27 artists in this year’s Made in L.A. biennial at the Hammer Museum, curated by Essence Harden and Paulina Pobocha, and Sigourney Schultz visits an immersive installation by South Korean artist Yaloo at Rip Space. Meanwhile, Joelle E. Mendoza spotlights Octavia’s Bookshelf, a Pasadena bookstore that has become a community hub for mutual aid since the fires.
