Los Angeles February 5, 2020 Letter from the editor: On Sunday, the New York and Los Angeles Times published ads with the eye-catching slogan "saveLACMA FROM TANKING." While there is a nonprofit called Save LACMA — which says the museum's expansion plan is not in the city's best interest — the ad was not placed by them. The story gets a bit bizarre and convoluted.
