Los Angeles April 29, 2020 Letter from the editor: Good news! This week, Hyperallergic reached 2,000 contributions in its new membership program. We are so grateful for this support that is allowing us to survive. THANK YOU to those of you who have donated. In order to keep things rolling through the end of May, we're predicting we'll need at least 3,000 contributions. So, if you haven't already given, want to help us reach this goal? No contribution is too small. I feel truly lucky to work with our extraordinary team. This week, I spoke on Hyperallergic's podcast with Editor in Chief Hrag Vartanian, News Editor Jasmine Weber, and US Southwest Editor Ellie Duke about the latest updates in the art world. I focus on how museums, galleries, and artists in Los Angeles have responded to the pandemic — and I promise there are some hopeful stories. I also encourage you to check out these uplifting articles on what artists and curators have been cooking + what people are wearing during quarantine, and this interview that reveals the art projects of LA's Metro stations.
