We’re back with our monthly recommendations of art to see in Los Angeles, both (safely) in-person and online. Also, don’t miss a free screening of the new Moholy-Nagy documentary as part of FILM at LACMA.
The much-anticipated Made in LA is still not open to the public, but you can catch Kahlil Joseph’s satellite project at various Black-owned small businesses throughout Los Angeles. If you’re comfortable, it’s a nice opportunity to see art outside of gallery walls. In Allison Conner’s words, Joseph’s screenings “celebrate art as an expression of everyday living, removing it from its rarefied position.”

For the last month of this rollercoaster of a year, we’ve put together a selection of some thoughtful shows currently open across Los Angeles.
Most of these are also available to view online — and it’s worth seeing the images.
