On the border: It's been about a month since Gov. Jeff Landry sent three rotations of 50 Louisiana Army National Guard soldiers to a Texas border town in response to the flood of refugees attempting to cross the southern border. Ride-hail safety: Violent crime is down in New Orleans, but the prospect of being carjacked still looms large in the minds of many motorists. But what about those who drive the city picking up strangers to make a living? Missy Wilkinson spoke to Uber and Lyft drivers about how they cope with the real risks that come with the job.
Studying the salt wedge: The wedge of salt that threatened the metro area's drinking water might seem like a distant memory, but experts studying what happened last September have found some interesting answers, as well as more questions. Mike Smith has the details.
