Landrum out: Keva Landrum has taken her name out of the running to be the next U.S. attorney in New Orleans, John Simerman, Tyler Bridges and Gordon Russell report. Though she was widely expected in 2021 to be President Joe Biden's pick for the job, he hasn't formally nominated her since then.

Shawn Wilson: Ex-transportation chief Shawn Wilson, a Democrat, faces steep odds in his bid for the Governor's Mansion, Tyler Bridges reports in this profile of Wilson's candidacy.
