Louisiana State Police will get another review amid federal civil rights probe

New LSP review: Weeks after Louisiana State Police released the results of an external review of its policies, Attorney General-elect Liz Murrill announced she will commission another review of the agency, which remains under a federal civil rights probe, Meghan Friedmann reports. 


BESE backs down: Board of Elementary and Secondary Education President Holly Boffy this week walked back her order to quickly implement a new appeals policy for high schoolers who fail state tests after the order caused a political stir, James Finn reports.


Grain elevator fight: The controversy over a proposed grain elevator in St. John the Baptist Parish grew this week as an opponent of the project accused Parish President Jaclyn Hotard of having a personal financial stake in the deal, Roshaun Higgins reports.
