Biggest fire ever: The biggest fire in recorded Louisiana history continues to burn and might not stop for a while. More than 30,000 acres in western Louisiana was charred as of Sunday, Kristin Askelson reported. Meanwhile, the wildfire threat remains off the charts across much of the state, and this summer hints at what is to come in the future, Tristan Baurick reported.
Idalia takes aim at Florida: Tropical Storm Idalia blew up in the Caribbean over the weekend and appears on a track headed toward the central Gulf Coast of Florida sometime Wednesday.
