Pieces of Mackinac Bridge grating available for $20

You may hate driving over it, but you won't hate owning it. A limited supply of small pieces of Mackinac Bridge grating are available for sale. The pieces come in 5-by-8 and 5-by-11 inches. They are $20 each. They are only available by going to the Mackinac Bridge Authority’s administration office in St. Ignace. Speaking of Mackinac, the island's Grand Hotel has unveiled its 2024 special vacation packages.

Free Fishing Weekend 🎣

For one weekend this February, you can fish in Michigan for free. Winter 2024′s Free Fishing Weekend will be held Feb. 17-18. Over those two days, fishing license fees will be waived and a Recreation Passport will not be required for entry into state parks and boating access sites.

The 150-year-old Goffar barn at Sleeping Bear Dunes was recently moved inch-by-inch to a new concrete foundation. Why? The historically significant barn was at risk of crumbling into a nearby lake.

Into The Woods Mini Golf and Gardens has just been named the best mini golf course in the entire state by Golf.com, but there's a good chance you've never played there. The top-ranked miniature golf course is located in the northernmost town in Michigan, population 125.
