LSU 2024 football dates finally set

It seemingly took forever, but the dates for the 2024 SEC football schedule are finally set.

The conference released them — or rather, the ones that weren't leaked out to or broadcast by ESPN — in an overblown two-hour extravaganza Wednesday night.

To quote the old song "One Night in Bangkok," "a show with everything but Yul Brenner."

In it, we finally learned the dates of LSU's SEC games. We already had the Tigers' opponents: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. Now it was just a matter of getting them in the right order.

One can imagine the flood of calls and clicks Thursday as folks across the SEC footprint are finally unleashed to book wedding receptions, conventions and family gatherings that had been on hold because of the scheduling delay.

The LSU men's basketball team was back in action inside the PMAC hosting Alabama State. But the real drama was taking place off the court as a judge issued a ruling that impacts two-time transfers like Tigers guard Jalen Cook. It sounds complicated, but our Sheldon Mickles explains the whole thing for you.

Thanks for reading, subscribing, not littering and voting when appropriate. Until next time,

Scott Rabalais
