LSU at SEC Media Days and much more

Greetings from Atlanta, site of this year's SEC Media Days at the College Football Hall of Fame.

First-year LSU coach Brian Kelly, along with wide receiver Jack Bech, linebacker Mike Jones and defensive end BJ Ojulari, represented the program Monday. We've got the full rundown on what they said, the rest of Monday's action and even a little baseball and track and field to tell you about.

This is one jam-packed LSU newsletter, so let's dive right in ...

SEC MEDIA DAYS

Our Wilson Alexander with our main story on Kelly's first SEC Media Days appearance ... and what he said about coaching in the South.

My column: Building trust and accountability have been at the top of LSU's offseason agenda.

SEC Notebook: Kelly on choosing a quarterback, recruiting and more.

Kelly says upon further review, Tigers were playing on tired "camp legs" in their 2021 season-opening loss at UCLA.

SEC Media Days Four Downs: Kelly's favorite Louisiana foods, Commissioner Greg Sankey gets edgy and what an LSU fan asked Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin to sign in the lobby.

Despite his impressive outing, the SEC's own network couldn't help but troll Kelly just a little.

Sankey talks SEC expansion and what may be next for the College Football Playoff.

On stage Tuesday at SEC Media Days: Alabama, Vandy, Miss. State and South Carolina

Just in case we missed anything, check out our live tweets and links from Monday.

BASEBALL

LSU got some very positive news Monday with one of 2022's key pitchers announcing his return.

See where another LSU pitcher, Eric Reyzelman, went Tuesday in the major league draft.

TRACK AND FIELD

LSU's Favour Ofili, Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake advance at the world track and field championships in Eugene, Oregon.

BOOK EXCERPT

Prototypical size made David LaFleur one of LSU's best tight ends ever.

That's all (isn't that enough?) for today. Join us tomorrow after Day 2 of SEC Media Days.

For now from Atlanta, bye y'all!
