~Orhan Pamuk, My Name Is Red Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lucy, had lost her beloved green ball and she was acting quite glum about it. My husband Dave and I were beside ourselves. Even though Lucy could drive us bonkers with her insistence that we play ball with her, it had become a vital part of our evening ritual. We searched for days. No ball.
