Lufthansa, airberlin to begin asset-transfer negotiations

Following airberlin’s Aug. 15 bankruptcy filing, Lufthansa will start negotiations with the company’s newly appointed administrator Lucas Flöther and CEO Thomas Winkelmann on Aug. 18 to discuss the targeted takeover of a large number of assets.

Air New Zealand eyes potential biofuel partners

Air New Zealand has identified two companies that could eventually provide biofuel for its fleet, although the carrier stresses that any large-scale use of the alternative fuel is still a long way off.
