High school students around the world recently received an email telling them their Advanced Placement exam scores were under review for potential academic integrity violations—and, if corroborated, they could be canceled.

 

Many students deemed the communication a phishing scam—at first. Only later did they become concerned about how the message, if real, might impact their college acceptances. Then, on July 8, when the AP results were released, their worst fears materialized.

MassReconnect's popularity has led some state lawmakers to advocate for its expansion. In May, state senate Democrats proposed universal free community college for all residents.
