There has been major developments over the last couple of months in Luxembourg and I wanted to share the following with you:
1/ Crypto Funds / Crypto Notes – we have seen an extraordinary influx of crypto investment funds with various strategies (ie long only, STOs, VCs, staking, long/short, Defy)
2/ FundNav ® - several new releases of this platform. Now it allows investors to “stake” all or part of their securities with other investors. This creates liquidity for investment fund or notes with longer maturity ( private equity interests, VC funds, real estate, etc) and manage secondaries.
3/ European Green Bond – new legislation to improve the issuance of green bond (ESG) – new framework for the designation of the “EuGB”
4/ CLOs – the law has been amended to now allow the issuance of Actively Managed Certificates / Collateralised Loan/Debt Obligation.
