Good evening,

Good evening,

Time for a quick breather. It’s been a frantic few months of dealmaking to kick off 2021 – with $46.3 billion worth of M&A transactions rearing their head across industries including waste, renewable energy, gaming and financial services to name a few.

Tonight, we thought it would be a good idea to have some quarter-time oranges and take a look at which banks have been leading the post-pandemic deals flurry. There’s one Wall Street giant at the top of both the M&A and ECM league tables.

Elsewhere, we’ve got the scoop on a juicy renewable-energy mandate that Rothschild’s investment banking team has snared.

Finally, we check back into Westpac’s life insurance business auction, and home and life services marketplace Oneflare has launched a capital raising.

Happy reading,
